Research interests
My research interests center on the methodological development and application of feldspar luminescence dating. I focus on the investigation of luminescence production in feldspars, where I apply various luminescence techniques and spectroscopy to a range of chemically and structurally different feldspars in order to develop a better understanding of electron (re-)trapping and recombination processes in these minerals. I also apply feldspar luminescence to date a range of Earth surface processes. I am particularly interested in constraining the timing of high magnitute events, such as tsunamis and earhtquakes, and in constraining geomorphological transport processes in different environments.
More information about my research can be found on Researchgate, Google Scholar or via ORCID. I am also a member of the RLuminescence Team and you can find out more about our work on our website. The latest RLuminescence package can be downloaded from Github or CRAN.
