Current position:

Widhi is a PhD candidate and research fellow at the Institute of Geography at the University of Cologne, Germany. Before, he was an academic staff at Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. Within his PhD-project he analyzes the risk of tidal flooding upon solar salt farming in Indonesia. He studied at UGM, Yogyakarta and UNNES, Semarang.

Main Research Fields and Interests:

His research interests are on coastal geography, Remote Sensing and GIS, physical vulnerability, hydrodynamic modeling, and salt harvesting, and disaster risk management.

Regional focus: South-east Asia especially Indonesia.
