Teaching

An important task of the CGSL is to provide courses for bachelor and master students, where modelling is a main component. Currently, we provide the course ‘Landscape dynamics and the soil carbon cycle’ in the summer semester. In this course, the students study the complex interactions between erosion processes and the soil carbon cycle in agricultural landscapes, using different types of models, such as soil-landscape evolution models.

We also provide different modelling-related thesis topics on topics such as drift sand dynamics, soil carbon dynamics, sediment tracing in eroding landscapes and semi-automated geomorphological mapping. More information can be found here.
