Since 2017, Roxana Leitold is working within the research group "Economic Geography and the Global South" at the Institute of Geography at the University of Cologne. Within the project "DECIDER", Roxana Leitold investigates the extent to which manufacturing firms in Ho Chi Minh City are at risk from (future) floods and which factors influence the decisions of smaller enterprises to implement adaptation strategies. During her PhD (2017-2020), Roxana Leitold was a visiting research researcher at the University of Economics and Law (UEL) in Vietnam and conducted interviews, workshops, and scenario-based field experiments with local firms. Before starting her position at the University of Cologne, Roxana Leitold received a Master degree in Geography from the University of Cologne and a Bachelor degree in Human Geography from the University of Münster. She also gained practical experience in urban development (City of Cologne) and international cooperation (GIZ GmbH).
