Application of the open-schooling concept to strengthen environmental education and participiation in environmental projects from science and society

Process based modelling of balances of water, carbon and nitrogen in agricultural and natural ecpsystems.

Modelling the mutual interaction of plant growth, agroeconomical decision making and land-use change by coupling of ecohydrological and socioeconomic models.

Spatiotemporal patterns of state and process in ecosystems on different scales: analysis, description and scaling properties.

Analysis of the balaces of carbon and water on agricultural areas using eddy covariance measurements. Development of methods to partition measured balances into carbon uptake and release (ecosystem respiration).

DISTENDER - DevelopIng strategies by integrating mitigation, adaptation and participation to climate change risks

A project that develops strategies to simultaneously adapt to and mitigate climate change. The EU-funded project is being carried out by 32 partners from all over Europe.
